Day into Evening, 24 Hours of Caring
The Arc of Southern Maryland believes that all adults,
regardless of disability deserves the right to a full adult lifestyle
in their community. All adults should be able to live, work,
and participate in the community. Our support provides the helping
hand needed to achieve this through:
Supported Living
The Arc provides daily or as-needed support to those living in
their own homes and apartments. All services are customized
to meet the needs of our clients. Our staff can support individuals
with these activities and tasks including:
- Creating a lifestyle plan
- Finding transportation
- Shopping for groceries & other
necessities
- Daily chores
- Personal care
- Handling finances, even balancing
a checkbook - things
many of us take for granted
- Participating in community events and activities

Employment and Day Support Services
Our Employment and Day Support Services create meaningful days
for individuals with developmental disabilities. Activities,
with individual preference in mind, offer learning experiences
and provide enjoyable pastimes such as music, dance, art and
other programs through our many connections and partnerships.
Employment opportunities are developed either in
the community via The Arc's "Partners
in Business" program or
at our vocational training center, Community Resource Center,
355 West Dares Beach Road, Prince Frederick, MD 20678, 410-535-4461.

Residential
The Arc operates 19 homes providing 24-hour staff support. For
